The Mauthe family has deep roots in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, later relocating to Folsom, Louisiana, and eventually establishing their farm in McComb, Mississippi. Now a fourth-generation family operation, they downsized around 2000 to process their own milk and sell directly to customers at local farmers' markets. Sourced from their grass-fed Jersey dairy cows—a breed highly prized for producing milk with an exceptionally high butterfat and protein content—this milk is pasteurized but kept in its most natural, non-homogenized creamline state, leaving a thick layer of rich cream on top. It contains just one ingredient: pure whole milk from their Jersey cows, completely avoiding all synthetic vitamins, additives, or processing aids.
