The Mauthe family has deep roots in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, where Kenny Mauthe’s grandfather first began milking cows before the farm eventually relocated. They run a traditional, small-scale family farm in McComb, Mississippi, minimizing industrial processing. Sourced from their grass-fed Jersey dairy cows, their Creole cream cheese is a resurrected local tradition. Historically, people loved to eat it simply sprinkled with sugar straight out of the container, cook with it, or paired with fresh fruit for breakfast.
